Every WindyMail email contains a mandatory unsubscribe link. This unsubscribe link cannot be altered or removed. If the link is removed or de-activated in any way, WindyMail will terminate the customer’s account.
What is Spam?
Spam is unsolicited email also known as UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email). By sending email to only to those who have requested to receive it, you are following accepted permission-based email guidelines.
What constitutes a Pre-existing business relationship?
The recipient of your email has made a purchase, requested information, responded to a questionnaire or a survey, or had offline contact with you.
Isn't there a law against sending Spam?
The federal anti-spam law went into effect on January 1st, 2004 and pre-empts all state laws. While this new law will not stop spam, it does make most spam illegal and ultimately less attractive to spammers. The law is specific about requirements to send commercial email and empowers the federal government to enforce the law. The penalties can include a fine and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years.
WindyMail Anti-Spam Practice
WindyMail has taken several steps to help you understand and procedures of proper permission based email marketing.
Monitoring – WindyMail Admin will actively monitor email campaigns and respond to spam abuse reports to quickly identify spammers and permanently remove customer account from our system. WindyMail Admin will not upload any suspicious large email database list into the system without verifying their origin.
Unsubscribe – Every email generated by WindyMail contains an unsubscribe link which cannot be removed or be altered by customers. When a subscriber removes themselves from mailing list by using unsubscribe link, their email address is automatically removed from customer’s email list and cannot be restored by the customer.
Account Activation – Any customer signing up without providing proper registration information is immediately removed from WindyMail.
Anti Spam Checklist
- Does your email contain non-specific email addresses such as: info@abc.com, sales@abc.com etc?
- Are you importing email list which you purchased?
- Are you mailing to recipients who have not agreed to be on your mailing list?
- Does your email contain fake or false information on subject line or sender address?
- Have you cultivated your email list by randomly adding them from variety of places?
- Have you tampered with unsubscribed link?
